Anna Tullgren Yoga

Hej! My name is Anna and I am excited to see You here!

With functional teaching at its core my yoga classes (Yin & Yang) are focused on feeling over aesthetics. It is how I aim to practise and teach all my classes. With this, I am putting you, the student, in the centre, and as for me, as a teacher, it is the only way to be truly inclusive.

I believe yoga is for everybody whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for a while my aim is to provide a comfortable and open space for everyone.

Based in Enfield, Meath, I also offer classes online and in surrounding areas of Meath and Kildare.

ABOUT MY CLASSES

From the Yang-side to the Yin-side

My yang style (Hatha and Vinyasa) classes are inspired by the connectivity to your breath, how the poses feel in your body and using movement as a form of meditation. With a love for longer held poses, be prepared to be challenged in more ways than the physical. Always with a focus on functional (alignment) where all poses can be tailored to suit your own unique body.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a complementary practice to the more active (yang) styles of yoga, other exercise or sport where we usually use our muscles. Yin is the opposite. Here we focus on our connective tissue and as we hold the poses longer in a relaxed, relatively still state (five minutes or more) it gives us ample time for much needed introspection. As with all styles of yoga, yin can work on all four dimensions of the body.

Physically (yin targets our connective tissues/fascia, bones and joints), energetically (enhance qi or prana flow and remove blockages in the meridian channels), emotionally (creates a space for introspection and self-awareness) and mentally (opportunity for meditation and more mindfulness while you marinate in the poses).

MY STORY SO FAR

The Journey Through Yoga

Born and raised in Stockholm (Sweden), Ireland has now been my home for over 20 years. Yoga came into my life in my mid-twenties but it wasn’t until I stepped my foot into a Hot Yoga Studio a few years later that it changed my life. The 26&2 series (Bishnu Charan Gosh Origin) has been the most healing practice therapeutically for me and continue to be my go to for my own practice. Together with Yin Yoga which came much later, I finally started to feel at home in my own skin.
